First
Wednesday is Salem’s favorite evening event, always
scheduled on the first Wednesday of each month throughout
the year. Events and activities are scheduled for 5 PM
to 8 PM.
As the heartbeat of
Salem and the greater Willamette Valley, Downtown
Salem is a wonderful eclectic blend of historic charm
rich in period architecture and home to a variety of
boutiques, art galleries, salons, and over 40
restaurants!
Parking is free and
easy with over 1200 on street spots with two hour
limits and three covered garages – two of the garages
are linked directly to stores.
In addition to the
unique boutiques, Downtown Salem offers numerous
shopping options
with over 60 specialty stores in the Salem Center Mall
and four major retailers; Macy’s, Penney’s, Kohl’s and
Nordstrom’s. Shopping is not only plentiful but also
conveniently connected by a linking of a one of a kind
sky bridge structure.

information booth located on the corner of Liberty and
Court Street. Check out the First Wednesday specials
in various restaurants and stores.
